Hey there! My name is Tine De Croix and I am the physiotherapist and pilates instructor behind MOVI.  

 

Ever since I was young, I have been deeply fascinated by the human body and the incredible way it functions. Over the years, this interest has only grown stronger and it has been my dream to work with people, and to make a positive difference in their lives.

On my journey toward this dream, the road was anything but straight.

I started my career as a pharmacy assistant, a role I embraced wholeheartedly for seven years, and alongside this full-time job, I poured my energy into coaching group fitness classes. One class in particular only fueled my interest in the human body: Pilates.
Completing the "Comprehensive Level I Pilates course" confirmed my desire to learn much more about it and prompted me to make a crucial life decision.

Because deep down I knew there was more I wanted to know, more I wanted to become and more I wanted to give.

So with both excitement and a touch of heartbreak, I closed the pharmacy chapter in 2017 and I enrolled at Ghent University to pursue a Master’s degree in Rehabilitation and Physiotherapy.

Five (six) intense years followed, filled with long nights, countless lectures, and more than a few moments of doubt.  It demanded every drop of my dedication, but looking back, it was the best choice I could have made.

Today, I cherish the freedom to work independently, to continuously grow, and to challenge myself in new ways.

If you get to know me, you’ll quickly find out: I have an insatiable curiosity and a genuine love for learning. It’s what keeps me moving forward, in work and in life.

 

In september 2023, another new adventure began when I moved with my husband Nicolaas to the beautiful, sun-kissed island of Tenerife.

Just a few months later, in January 2024, our hearts grew even fuller with the arrival of our beloved son Leon, or “Leoncito,” as we lovingly call him.

Beyond work, studying, and motherhood, I love setting off on little adventures with my family and our two dogs, Flo and Bougie, hiking through the endless mountains and barrancos that make Tenerife such a paradise.
